SpiceJet gets overnight parking slots in 2 cities

Mumbai , March 8

SPICEJET, the low fare, no-frills brand from Royal Airways Ltd, has been given overnight parking slots at New Delhi and Mumbai.

According to a statement from the company, SpiceJet has been given two overnight parking slots at IGI Airport in the Capital and one slot at the Chhatrapati Shivaji airport here.

The airline is now on track for a launch in May having received the necessary parking slot approvals and the expected arrival of three Boeing 737-800s in April, the statement said.

The airline, which will lease its first three Boeing 737-800s, has also placed orders for up to 20 Boeing 737-800s.
