Scandent Solutions makes debut on BSE, NSE

SCANDENT Solutions on Wednesday got listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange. The stock opened at Rs 190 on the BSE and closed at Rs 206.65, after hitting a peak of Rs 228. Over 25 lakh shares were were traded on the BSE.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the stock opened at Rs 185 and hit a high of Rs 223.80. It closed at Rs 206.20 with 51.94 lakh shares being traded. Of the traded shares, only 19.85 per cent was presented for delivery on the NSE.

The Chief Executive Officer, Scandent Solutions, Mr Dilip Keshu, in a statement said: "Today, Scandent Solutions has become an integral part of the Indian IT industry milieu."

Scandent Solutions has been formed by the merger of IT services business of SSI Ltd and Scandent Solutions. Consequent to the de-merger, one new share of Scandent was issued for each share of SSI.

The company has also obtained in principle approvals from the Chennai and Ahmedabad stock exchanges for listing of shares.

The company has thus far handled over 600 client engagements and employs more than 1000 people.
