Computer engineers meet in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Centre of the Institution of Engineers is hosting the 19th national convention of computer engineers in the city on March 12 and March 13.

Called `FICOM 05', the event will focus on grid computing, mobile computing and autonomic computing, says a press release issued by the organisation. Over 100 delegates from across the country are expected to attend the event, which will be held at the Institution of Engineers hall in the city.

The national President of the Institution of Engineers (India), Mr B.J. Vasoya, will inaugurate the convention. As part of the event, Dr D.S. Rane, former Director, Computer and Information Group, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre -Thiruvananthapuram, will deliver the Ramanujam Memorial Lecture.
