New Delhi , March 10

A NEW no-frills airline, Magicair, plans to take to the skies later this year.

In a statement, the promoters have said that they recently applied to the Ministry of Civil Aviation for obtaining a no-objection certificate to operate `Magicair.' The statement adds that the airline will start operations by winter this year.

The airline plans to start operations with 10 aircraft and is to connect all major metro, mini-metro and key holiday destinations.

The airline, which is promoted by Ms Nira Radia, is in talks with both Boeing and Airbus for acquiring aircraft.
