Consumer protection awards

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Government's consumer protection awards for 2003, the Rajiv Gandhi State Awards, have been announced.

The Thiruvananthapuram District Consumer Samiti has bagged the first prize, while the second prize has gone to the Centre of Indian Consumer Protection and Research Thiruvananthapuram and the third place to the Palakkad District Consumer Association, says an official press release.

The awards will be distributed at a special function to be held on March 15, which is World Consumer Day, the press release adds.
