Post offices to be upgraded

MADURAI: The Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, has said that the Centre was planning to convert post offices into multi-media centres.

They would serve as electricity and telephone bill collection centres. The post offices at Tuticorin, Aruppukottai, Paramakudi and Karaikudi would have new buildings soon, he added,.
