Satyam in pact with US firm

HYDERABAD: Satyam Computer Services Ltd has announced its alliance with United Devices, a US-based grid computing solutions provider. It expects to implement and offer technical services, training and professional services.

The Director, Consulting and Enterprise Solutions of Satyam, Mr G.B. Prabhat, in a statement said "Satyam will assist global customers realise the benefits of grid computing. The company recently announced launch of its grid computing practice to offer customers consulting, design and implementation of grid services."

Grid computing helps an enterprise maximise computational resources without additional investments. Its applications include life sciences, government and financial services and data warehousing.
