Kaya plans to open 18 skin clinics

New Delhi , March 15

KAYA Skin Clinic, the skin care chain promoted by Marico Industries, is on an expansion spree. From its 30 clinics across India and two in the Gulf, Kaya plans to add another 18 by the end of this year.

And since each new outlet needs around Rs 1-1.5 crore investment, the venture will need Rs 20-25 crore additional investment in the proposed expansion.

"We have chosen to own each store instead of taking the franchisee route to maintain quality standards and the company is still in the expansion mode. This means breakeven will take more time. Kaya Skin Clinic Ltd will need another two years to begin making money," said its CEO, Mr Rakesh Pandey.

Kaya is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marico Industries and all investment is being made by the parent company. Meanwhile, it has launched a new skin care product range comprising seven products.

These include Skin Lightening Complex, Lighten & Smooth Under Eye Gel, Skin Repair Complex, Recharging Night Crème, Daily Moisturising Sunscreen, Revitalising Tonic and Soothing Cleansing Gel.
