Pension schemes

This refers to the article "The case for reverse mortgage" (Business Line, March 15).

With interest rates falling and the absence of a safe savings/investment plan, the pension scheme against property is the ideal savings choice for senior citizens.

However, this may not work in a country like India where inflation rate is already high.
