TVS Star launched in Kerala

KOCHI: TVS Motor Company introduced its entry-level 4-stroke motorcycle - TVS Star - in the Kerala market here on Friday.

Priced at Rs 30,990 ex-showroom in the State, the new 100 cc bike targets the economy segment and will offer a fuel economy of 95 km per litre, company officials told newspersons. Mr C.V. Aditya, Area Manager, said that the company has got marketshare of 18 per cent in the State in two-wheeler market and with the launch of TVS Star, the share is expected to touch 25-28 per cent by next year.

For customer satisfaction, TVS Motor has set up 90 outlets with 50 authorised dealers and 75 authorised service centres in the State. TVS Star was earlier launched in North India and has sold over 50,000 units. The two-wheeler targets entry-level riders on the lookout for better styling, durability and power with mileage as a clinching factor, he added.
