MANGALORE: The British Council - in association with National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal - will organise South India Commonwealth Scholars' meet in Mangalore on March 19.

Mr Kartar Singh, Deputy Director of British Council, South India, told presspersons here on Friday that the objective of the meeting is to facilitate networking among scholars. The meeting will also showcase some of the success stories by these scholars who have developed sustainable and collaborative partnerships with institutions in the UK in their own spheres of specialisation.

He said Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is one of the most enduring outcomes of commonwealth collaboration in education. The CSFP provides scholarships for more than 70 Indians to pursue higher education in the UK. Of them, nearly 30 are from south India, he said.
