New GM for South Central Rly

HYDERABAD: Mr D.N. Mathur assumed charge as General Manager of the South Central Railway (SCR), replacing Mr Stanley Babu, here on Thursday.

Mr Mathur, who joined the service as a Special Class Apprentice in 1965, served the Railways in several positions including Additional Divisional Railway Manager, South Eastern Railway and Chief Mechanical Engineer. Prior to the elevation as SCR General Manager, Mr Mathur was with Integral Coach Factory. He also worked in Iraq on deputation for operations and maintenance of a new line, a SCR press release said.
