SriLankan plans more services from South

SRILANKAN Airlines will increase its services from several South Indian cities to Colombo starting April.

The Hyderabad-Colombo flight, which is currently five flights a week, would have daily services beginning April 11.

Announcing this here, Mr Lal Talgaswatte, Regional Manager (Western and Central India), SriLankan Airlines, said the airline would double the frequency to Kochi from six to 12.

While the number of flights to Kozhikode would go up to nine from six, Tiruchi would have 10 (seven at present) and Thiruvananthapuram would have 11 (9).

In one year, the carrier recorded an average occupancy of 70 per cent, Ms Asha Kumar, Sales Manager (Andhra Pradesh), said.
