Bank credit up Rs 13,464 cr

Mumbai , March 19

GROSS bank credit increased by Rs 13,464 crore for the fortnight ended March 4 to touch Rs 10,69,673 crore, according to Reserve Bank of India's Weekly Statistical Supplement.

This is inclusive of food credit, which declined by Rs 42 crore to touch Rs 41,440 crore and non-food credit, which increased by Rs 13,505 crore to touch Rs 10,28,233 crore.

Loans and advances to the state governments increased by Rs 361 crore to Rs 1,039 crore for the week ended March 11.
