Ram Info bags three e-governance deals

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , March 20

RAM Informatics Ltd, the Hyderabad-based software services provider, has bagged Letter of Intent (LoI) for IT projects from three States. It expects to participate in several other tenders this year with the domestic e-governance spend projected to go up.

The Executive Director of Ram Info, Mr R. Jagadeeshwara Rao, told Business Line that the company's eSeva project, the flagship e-governance application of the Andhra Pradesh Government offering citizen services, has become a model one. This has enabled the company to bag the BangaloreOne project of the Karnataka Government and two other LoIs from Lucknow and Mumbai municipalities.

"These three urban citizen services projects too aim at streamlining the citizen interface with the Government by helping them pay various bills, access other value-added services and also seek Government-to-citizen services. They would also be modelled on the successful eSeva project of the AP Government with some customisation," Mr Rao said.

"What has been achieved through the eSeva centres will also be replicated in the rural areas of the State through what is being termed as the OLTP (online transaction processing) project," he said.

While the Government has awarded eSeva contract to other service providers dividing them zone wise, about 250 eSeva centres are functional today, all of them being run on the software developed by Ram Info.
