New chief for CII Karnataka

BANGALORE: Mr Daljit Mirchandani, Chairman and President of Ingersoll-Rand (India), was elected as the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industries/ CII (Karnataka) at the first meeting of the Karnataka State Council 2005-06 on Saturday.

Mr Mirchandani takes over the mantle from Mr K. K. Swamy, Deputy Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motors Ltd. Mr S. Gopalakrishnan, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Infosys Technologies, was elected as the Vice-Chairman of the State unit of CII.
