MANGALORE: A two-day seminar on `Accounting standards: What they are and what they should be,' organised by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, will begin at Ujire in Dakshina Kannada district on March 23.

A college press release said here on Monday that the existing accounting standards issued by international and national boards will be analysed in detail to assess their validity and relevance in the current business scenario.

The former Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank, Dr N.K. Thingalaya, will inaugurate the seminar. More than 100 teachers from various colleges in the State are likely to participate in the seminar, the release added.
