Different spices kept for sale at a shop in Kochi. Spices export has increased 54 per cent this fiscal till January to 2.80 lakh tonnes, valued at Rs 1,725 crore. Last year, the exports totalled 1.82 lakh tonnes worth Rs 1,490 crore. Spices oils and oleoresins contribute 35 per cent of the total spices export earnings.
