Rubber unchanged on dull trading

Our Correspondent

Kottayam , March 22

THE domestic spot rubber remained almost unchanged amidst dull trading interest and lack of trend setting factors.

The market appeared to be slipping into a holiday mood as Easter is at the doorsteps with only a few more days to go. Hence the traders were not prepared to enhance their commitments.

The NMCE futures turned better except for its April contract which was traded slightly down at Rs 56.37 (56.58) a kg on Tuesday. The May contract was quoted at Rs 58.80 (58.62), June Rs 59.92 (59.74) and July contract at Rs 61 (60.75) per kg for RSS 4. The physical rubber rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4: 55.25 (55.25); RSS 5: 54 (54.25); ungraded: 53.25 (53.25); ISNR 20: 54 (54); and latex 60%: 40 (40).
