New IA Delhi-Chennai link on cards

New Delhi , March 23

INDIAN Airlines (IA) is looking at operating a four times a week flight on the Delhi-Salem-Coimbatore-Chennai sector.

Replying to a question raised in the Rajya Sabha, the Minister for Civil Aviation, Mr Praful Patel, said that Indian Airlines/Alliance Airlines has plans to take 6 ATR aircraft on dry lease.

"One of the services proposed to be operated by these aircraft is a four days a week service on the Delhi-Salem-Coimbatore-Chennai sector," the Minister said.
