'Job hoppers look for challenges'

Our Bureau

New Delhi , March 24

AS the level of hiring by companies continues to rise, job seekers too are looking for increased challenges to add zing to their portfolio. An estimated 32 per cent of job seekers polled recently by Monster said they plan to change jobs if the new job offers more challenges.

The poll conducted by Monster Meter, a product of online careers site Monster India, is an ongoing series of online survey that gauges users' opinions on a variety of topics relating to careers, the economy and the workplace.

About 31 per cent of the respondents said they would consider changing jobs this year for better work-life balance, while 24 per cent said they were looking for more pay and 12 per cent were looking to relocate.

"The Indian job market is growing at a fast pace and these poll results show that more and more job seekers are ready to take advantage of this buoyancy in hiring," said Mr Dhruv Shenoy, Vice-President, Marketing, Monster Asia.
