DR Reddy's Laboratories Ltd has launched Celadrin in the Indian market through an alliance with the US-based Cymbiotics Inc.

The drug helps reduce pain and inflammation in patients with osteoarthritis and other joint related problems.

The product was developed by the US-based Imagenetix (IAGX) and licensed to Cymbiotics Inc. It would be available as capsules and cream in 30 gm tube.

Commenting on the launch, Dr Reddy's Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Mr Satish Reddy, said, "Celadrin will enhance the treatment options available to medical practitioners in India."

According to Mr Bill Spencer, Chief Executive Officer of Imagenetix, Celadrin has been shown to be helpful in reducing pain and inflammation in joint disorders. Celadrin contains a proprietary complex of cetylated fatty acid esters and omega-3 fatty acids that could be safely used in the treatment of arthritis.
