Vishal plans 82.5-MW wind farm project

Mumbai , March 24

VISHAL Exports Overseas Ltd plans to set-up an 82.5-MW wind farm project with an investment of Rs 450 crore.

The company has implemented 20-MW wind power projects in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. A 13.5-MW wind farm project in Tamil Nadu with an investment of Rs 64 crore is currently under implementation, according to a press release.

In the hydropower sector, Vishal Exports recently commissioned a 1-MW project in Himachal Pradesh. Another 2-MW hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh with an investment of Rs 9.5 crore is currently under implementation.

Mr D.S. Mehta, Joint Managing Director, said the company had identified renewable energy as one of its key thrust areas and the foray in this segment is part of its long-term growth strategy.
