Coimbatore , March 25 BRISTLECONE India is optimistic about its business prospects and growth for 2005-06 fiscal. "We have a positive order book and are building our competencies around consulting, outsourcing and product development," Mr Padman Ramankutty, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Bristlecone Inc., told Business Line. The company, which is part of the $1.6-billion Mahindra Group, has an active partnership and network with SAP India. "We have won kudos from SAP for SMB (Small and Medium Business) templates, particularly for the auto ancillaries sector. Having been involved in some of the largest SAP implementations in India and Asia, we realised that the Indian market is huge and the reselling opportunities for SAP phenomenal. We have 20-odd implementation process on hand at present," he said. Bristlecone has offices in Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore. Considering the present growth, the company, according to Mr Ramankutty, is looking at expanding its Bangalore operations. "We are looking for another 20,000 square feet space," he said. The company is anticipating a 30 to 40 per cent growth in the coming year. To keep pace with the developments, it is also on a recruitment spree. "We are very selective on campus," he said and added that half the numbers picked were off campus and the rest through the lateral route. The company is adding to its rolls about 70 to 100 persons month after month. Mr Ramankutty noted that the attrition rate was the highest in Mumbai followed by Bangalore.
