HYDERABAD: Idea Cellular Ltd, the private cellular services provider, has announced the introduction of three prepaid recharge packages that offer cheaper local, STD and ISD calls. These prepaid recharge coupons are targeted at specific user segments such as traders. A customer now gets to choose the recharge as per his calling needs, thereby offering flexibility. Idea Chitchat subscribers can have access to unlimited STD calling at Rs 1.50 a minute in the I-Power STD Rs 750 recharge. ISD calls are for Rs 9 a minute (Rs 12 to the Gulf and Africa) in the I-Power recharge coupon of Rs 1,499. The Chief Executive Officer of Idea, Mr Vikram Mehmi, said I-Power cards are in continuation with the spirit of innovation and "our strategy of offering customer-friendly segmented plans that offer maximum value and suit specific requirements of our customers."
