Thiruvananthapuram , March 27

THE Trivandrum International School has announced the launch of an early learning and day care centre in the city.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr Richard Hillebrand, Headmaster, Trivandrum International School, said the objective behind starting the early learning and day care centre is to create an environment that encourages children to learn and also teaches them to be independent. The new learning centre will be supervised by teachers from Australia and the UK, he added.

While the Trivandrum International School's campus is located on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram, the new pre-school facility is situated in the city's Kuravankonam neighbourhood, said Mr G. Vijayaraghavan, Honorary Director of the school. The centre will start working in July.

The pre-school and day care centre will offer parents two options — a full-day plan with a monthly fee of Rs 6,000 and a half-day plan with a monthly fee of Rs 5,000. In addition, the school will also charge an admission fee of Rs 5,000. The centre's fees include the cost of food, learning aids and uniforms.
