THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Minister, Mr Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate a working women's hostel at the KINFRA International Apparel Park in the city on March 29.

Built with financial assistance from the Union Human Resources Ministry, the total investment in the hostel is Rs 3.25 crore, says a press release issued by Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA).

The hostel can accommodate a maximum of 512 people and offers several lodging options ranging from dormitories to single rooms, the release adds.

Located on a 100-acre plot at Thumba on the outskirts of the city, the KINFRA International Apparel Park is one of the 16 industrial parks set up by KINFRA. Textile companies that are tenants at the apparel park include the Leela Group and the All India Handloom Fabrics Marketing Cooperative Society Ltd.
