Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Government has approved a scheme prepared by the Kerala State Housing Board to provide either housing or home loans to people from the economically weaker sections of society.

According to an official press release, the scheme's beneficiaries will be selected by a committee with representatives from the housing board, local panchayats and voluntary organisations. Subject to certain conditions, landless beneficiaries will receive a house on a small plot of land, while those with a minimum of two cents of land will receive building loans, the release adds.
