Channels and Franchises Callaway Golf enters into distribution pact with Planet Sports Our Bureau
New Delhi , March 28 CALLAWAY Golf Company has appointed Planet Sports as its distributor for golf equipment in India. "We will be present in India through an exclusive distribution arrangement with Planet Sports through Pan-West," said Mr Warren Lee, Business Head, Asia-Pacific, Callaway. He said that the company will be more active in local events now and will have more distribution points. Callaway Golf Company has appointed the Singapore-based Pan-West (Pte) Ltd as the distributor for Callaway Golf's products in India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand effective January 1. Planet Sports expects to sell about $2 million worth of Callaway golf equipment this year. The agreement covers Callaway Golf's golf club, golf ball and accessory products sold under the Callaway Golf, Odyssey, Top-Flite and Ben Hogan brands. Pan-West has been a distributor for Callaway Golf since 1988.
