IOC launches auto LPG station in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd has launched its first automobile LPG dispensing station in the State at Pallichal near here.

According to a press release issued by the company, a similar facility will be commissioned at Edapally in Kochi in April this year. By the end of the year, the company plans to have 15 such automobile LPG dispensing stations in Kerala, the release adds.

`Autogas', the company's brand of LPG for automobiles will be sold at all these outlets. At the Pallichal retail outlet, `Autogas' will be available at Rs 23.95 per litre, says the press release. The company has invested approximately Rs 50 lakh in the Pallichal station and this includes the cost of an LPG dispensing unit imported from Australia, the release adds.
