Private Banks South Indian Bank branches Our Bureau
KOCHI: The South Indian Bank has opened six new branches and two extension counters on a single day. The new branches were opened at Coimbatore Big Bazar Street, Kochi-Kadavanthra and at Cheroor, Eravu, Puthenpeedika and Pallikunnu in Thrissur district of Kerala, a press release from the bank has said. Two extension counters were also opened at Christu Jayanthi College and Holy Spirit School in Bangalore. With the opening of these branches, the bank's branch network has increased to 430. The bank continues to have the second largest network of branches in the private sector in India. Of the 430 branches, 235 key branches enjoy core banking solutions and offer anywhere banking facilities. Almost 86 per cent of the banks total business is on-line. The bank's renovated Chennai Regional Office and the Chennai-Nungambakkam branch were also inaugurated on Monday.
