Bankers' Clearing House session on Thursday

A SPECIAL clearing session of the Mangalore Bankers' Clearing House will be held on March 31 at 6 p.m. in order to facilitate payment of taxes (corporate tax, income-tax, central excise and service tax) to the Government.

As part of this special clearing session, all cheques of Rs 10 lakh and above tendered on March 31, and delivered by the respective banks at the clearing house before 6 p.m. will be realised on the same day and the assessees will be given the acknowledgement of the same date.

A press release by the Mangalore Bankers' Clearing House at Corporation Bank requested the public to take advantage of this special facility offered by the banks exclusively for payment of taxes referred to above.
