Hughes' VPN for Galileo

Our Bureau

New Delhi , March 29

SATELLITE service provider Hughes Escorts Communications Ltd has announced it has set up the largest Virtual Private Network for Galileo India — a global distribution services provider for the travel industry.

"This VPN solution will span 900 sites, thereby networking the travel agents across India. The network will allow Galileo to offer value-added networking solutions to travel agents, allowing for hassle-free connectivity to meet their business needs while reducing costs and enhancing security. It will also remove the dependence of travel agents on the Internet since it will be a dedicated network for their end-to-end processes," a Hughes release said here.

The VPN will offer secure and scalable connectivity to 150 travel agents initially.
