BSNL revises commission

BHARAT Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has announced that it is revising the commission, minimum guarantee amount and security deposit for STP/ISD public call offices (PCOs) with effect from April 1.

The commission for PCOs has been fixed in five slabs based on the number of billed metered call units made every month, says an official press release.

For PCOs in urban areas, the minimum guarantee amount has been fixed at Rs 800 per month and for those in rural areas the guarantee amount is Rs 100 a month, the release adds.

The security deposit in urban areas has been fixed at a maximum of Rs 5,000, while in rural areas it will be either Rs 600 or the six month average earning, whichever is higher subject to a maximum of Rs 5,000, the release adds.
