Intex unveils DVD players

Hyderabad , March 30

INTEX Technologies (India) Ltd, a Delhi-based IT solutions and computer peripherals company, has entered the consumer electronics segment with the launch of a DVD player here.

The launch is part of the company's plans to make consumer electronics a significant contributor to its overall sales. "We have set a sales target of Rs 1,000 crore by 2007-08," Mr Pankaj Dubey, National Sales Manager of Intex Technologies (India) Ltd, said.

Of this, consumer electronics is expected to contribute Rs 400 crore. With a sales turnover of Rs 125 crore during the current financial year, the company expects to grow at 100 per cent year on year.
