C-DIT to host SBT Web sites

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has joined hands with the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT) to host and maintain the bank's Web site in the regional language (Malayalam), the first bank to do so, and also in the national language (Hindi).

Announcing this, a bank spokesperson said here that Mr M. K. Ramachandran, vice-chancellor, University of Kerala, launched the Malayalam Web site at a function held at the SBT headquarters on Thursday. Mr Om Bhatt, Managing Director, formally hoisted the Hindi Web site. Among those who spoke on the occasion were Mr K. Asok Kumar, Registrar, C-DIT; Mr G. Damodaran, Chief Vigilance Officer; and Mr R.G. Gadkari, General Manager, SBT.
