The Minister told newspersons here that the minimum requirement for confirmation would be six months of uninterrupted service. But many among the agents have been working for years together.

In another bonanza, the Minister announced that 600 persons working as mazdoors and helpers on a contract or daily wage basis with the Kerala State Consumer Federation would also be confirmed. They would be eligible for pension and other benefits but not promotions.
