VAT: `Tally mela' on compliance in Delhi

THE Union Minister of Industries, Mr Elangovan, on Friday visited Tally Mela here.

Tally Solutions is conducting a host of `Tally Melas', across 10 cities around the country with a view to educate the business community and individuals on Value Added Tax (VAT) compliance and implementation.

The Tally Mela which is being held in Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Kochi, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Kolkata, has senior chartered accountants and tax experts interacting with the public, in a bid to address concerns and doubts on VAT as well as Service Tax and TDS, a company release said here.

The event showcases the simplicity with which VAT compliance processes can be adopted, the release added.
