PowerGrid eyes Rs 3,000-cr turnover

POWERGRID Corporation of India (PGCIL) has set a target of achieving 15 per cent top line growth at over Rs 3,000 crore for 2005-06.

As per the annual MoU signed with the Ministry of Power detailing the targets for 2005-06, PGCIL envisages an addition of 3,800 circuit km of extra high voltage transmission lines and 4,885 MVA of transformation capacity during the year, a release said.

The company has also been delegated powers to raise loans to the extent of Rs 2,000 crore during the year to fund its expansion plans, the release said.
