SCR Web site on claims

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway has launched a website (www.claims.indianrail.gov.in) to let people post their claims or complaints online. Mr D.N. Mathur, General Manager of SCR, inaugurated the site at the office of Chief Claims Officer of the zone. "This is part of the e-governance programme," he said in a press release.

The site is a common platform for all the 16 Zonal Railway Claims Offices.

"The claimants can register their cases online within six months from the date of booking the consignment. On registration, a notice number is generated and the claimant needs to send the relevant documents within the stipulated time to the claims office," the release said.
