Dainik Jagran launches Channel 7

DAINIK Jagran's news channel, Channel 7, made its debut on Saturday.

During the test-run period, the channel was beamed in 15 million homes, a news release said.

Itwill also be available on Zee's DTH platform Dish TV. Programmes are being telecast with the assistance of 250 TV journalists from Channel 7's 25 live bureau network across the country. Moreover, an exclusive countrywide network of Dainik Jagran contributors, in addition to 3,000 Jagran journalists, is supporting this team across 320 districts in the country.

"Our research has brought to light the need for quality non-fiction infotainment and we are concentrating in this direction,'' the release said quoting Mr Siddhartha Gupta, Director, Jagran TV.

Channel 7 has planned print media, radio, outdoor and Internet campaigns to market and promote the channel, from April 7.
