Ministry grants Rs 3.6 cr for Rudseti centres

Bangalore , April 2

THE Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs 3.65 crore as grant for campus development of five centres of the Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (Rudseti).

The institute is sponsored by the public sector Canara Bank and Syndicate Bank and the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Educational Trust.Briefing newspersons here on Saturday on the achievements of the Rudseti, Mr N. Kantakumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Syndicate Bank, and Mr Swaminathan, Executive Director of Canara Bank, said that this year the estimated expenditure was Rs 4.87 crore. This would be borne in the ratio of 40:40:20 between the Rudseti sponsors.
