A trough of low pressure located to the southwest Bay of Bengal has spawned unusually wet weather in the southern districts of the State. Thiruvananthapuram and its surroundings received welcome showers overnight on Sunday, that are expected to sustain till Monday afternoon, according to the Met Office.
