Bonanza for retail investors

The SEBI's decision to increase the allocation and limit of the retail investors will no doubt, boost the morale of the small investors. SEBI should also recommend exclusion of PAN number in the application forms for investments up to Rs 1 lakh in IPOs as against the present limit of Rs 50,000.

The Finance Ministry should, in turn, consider such recommendation for providing better service to the retail segment, which may rule the market in the near future.
