Shopping Old-World charm K.K. Mustafah
The Big Bazaar Road in Mattancherry was once the business hub of Kochi. The road is lined with godowns and warehouses with shutters facing the backwaters as most of the goods came by boats. With business activity shifting to mainland Ernakulam, the streets wear a deserted look. But tourists still visit the place to get a feel of its old-world charm. The envoys of the US and Turkey were the latest visitors to the street, which is located close to the Jewish Synagogue.
