Mumbai , April 4

THE global outlook for the hotel sector, the finance opportunities available for it, and flexibility, if any, in management contracts are among the topics that will be covered at an hotel investment conference to be organised by HVS International (India), a global consulting and services organisation focused on the hotel, restaurant, timeshare, gaming, and leisure industries.

To be held in the city on April 6 and 7, the sessions will include discussions on identifying quality manpower, finding new marketing avenues and non-traditional sources of revenue.

According to an official release, Indian representatives could gain a better understanding of experimental learning and productivity enhancement from their South Asian counterparts at the Hotel Investment Conference South Asia 2005 (HICSA).

The statement quoting Mr Manav Thadani, Managing Director, HVS International (India), said: "South Asia is the future of the hospitality industry, and HICSA 2005 is the first global platform for participants to interact with industry stalwarts and share latest trends and opportunities in this region. It brings together the movers and shakers of the hospitality, real estate and financing industries and key decision makers under one roof."

Mr Stephen Rushmore, Founder and President, HVS International; Mr Timothy J. Grady, Managing Director, Morgan Stanley, Hong Kong; Ms Marilyn Carlson Nelson, Chairman and COO, Carlson Companies; Mr Jean Gabriel Pérès, President are among those expected to attend the event.

Established in 1980, HVS performs more than 1,500 assignments each year for every major industry participant.
