Summer specials to Bangalore

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Southern Railway will operate special trains between Bangalore and Nagercoil to clear the extra summer rush of passengers.

An official spokesman said here that these services would be operated on the Erode-Dindigul-Madurai-Tirunelveli route. Accordingly, the 0647 Bangalore city-Nagercoil Special will leave Bangalore at 5.45 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays to reach Nagercoil at 10 a.m. the next day. The first service will be operated on Saturday (April 9) and the last on June 30.

In the opposite direction, the 0648 Nagercoil-Bangalore Special will leave Nagercoil at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays to reach Bangalore at 9 a.m. the next day. The first service will roll out from Nagercoil on April 10 and the last on July 1. These specials will have stoppages at Bangalore Cantonment, Hosur, Dharmapuri, Salem, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Kodaikanal Road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Vanchi-Maniyachchi and Tirunelveli in either direction.
