Federal Bank to launch Treasurer's Calendar today

THE Executive Director of Federal Bank, Mr P.R. Sankaranarayanan, will release a special calendar called the Treasurer's Calendar here on Wednesday.

The calendar will chronicle major events in the domestic and international markets and give insight to prospective investors on how to deal with various financial products available in the market, a press release issued here said.

The economic indicators available on the domestic front include interest payment dates on various government securities and redemption details of securities. It also gives details on forex/international markets with spot and forward dates. Events in major markets such as the US, Europe, Japan and the UK, which would help assess global trends in inflow and outflow of funds in the global markets, would also be chronicled.

Cooperative banks, provident funds, gratuity trusts and corporate institutions who are major players in the retail sector of the government security market can benefit from these details, the release said.
