Commodities meet to discuss outlook

Mumbai , April 6

FOR the first time after the launch of three nationwide multi-commodity exchanges trading online, a seminar to comprehensively discuss the outlook for major exchange traded commodities will be held in Mumbai during April 15-16.

In the last 15 months, commodity futures trading volumes have expanded by leaps and bounds.

The Exchange Traded Commodities Outlook 2005-06 organised by Foretell Business Solutions is expected to bring together about 250 delegates from across the country representing corporates, trading houses, service providers, analysts and intermediaries.

Expert panelists will share their outlook on grains and pulses, edible oils and oilseeds, bullion (gold and silver) as also cash crops

(guarseed, castorseed, pepper, cotton, sugar), metals and energy products.

Confirmed speakers include Mr S. Sundareshan, Chairman of Forward Markets Commission, and Mr Suresh Kotak, President of Federation of Indian Commodity Exchanges, in addition to experts from brokerage firms, organisers said.
