India-China ties

This refers to the article "Business beckons Sino-Indian relations" (Business Line, April 7). In the last two years, there has been significant change especially in trade relations. China emerged as India's second biggest trade partner and engine of export growth.

The two countries, one a fast growing economy and the other the fastest, could be world's largest market and gigantic engine of growth.

Both could cooperate in matters of common interest such as WTO. They could supplement each other in areas where they need each other's assistance and guidance. It could give a new vision to Asia and new direction to the world.
